On the basis of 7150 positive cultures an analysis of dermatofic infections was carried out among the inhabitans of Podkarpacie Region in Poland 1984--2001. Two periods were selected: 1) The decade 1984-1993 and 2) Years 1994-2001. In the last period the most infections were caused by Trichophyton rubrum (59.4%) and then: Trichophyton menthagrophytes v. interdigitale (20.7%), Trichophyton tonsurans (5.7%), Trichophyton menthagrophytes v. granulosum (5.5%) and Epidermophyton floccosum (6.4%). An attention draws an appearance of Trichophyton violaceum (0.4%) a very popular fungus in East Europe, which was not discovered earlier in this region of Poland. In comparison to the first period it was reported that infections of zoofilic derma tofic have/grown: Trichophyton menthagrophytes v. granulosum (from 4.1 to 5.5%) and Trichophyton verrucosum (from 0.2 to 1.1%). In the clinic picture obsen/ation dominated the infections of feet nails caused by the main patogen of peoples infections - Trichophyton rubrum.
