Renal transplantation is an established treatment of advance d chronic kidney disease. 5-year transplant survival has significantly improved from 55 to 70%, however, one of the main causes of transplant during the first year is recipient’s demise. Cardiovascular events are a major cause of mortality after renal transplantation and established riskfactors, such hypertension, diabetes mellitus and immune suppression play an essential role in the development of cardiovascular events.
