This paper presents the analysis of nutritional status of 14-year old adolescents, based on high school pupils from Radomsko. The research, that covered 658 individuals (315 girls and 343 boys) from all high schools of the city, was completed in 2006. The outcome was compared with similar results of a research carried out by National Institute of Food and Nutrition in Warsaw, done in 1996/1997 and 2000. It was also compared with a research evaluating feeding status among population of Warsaw's adolescents and Polish population in generał. Only 46% of adolescents presented correct body mass. Deficiency of weight was found in 40% female and 42% male whereas weight excess and obesity (depending on the BMI evaluation method) was found in 5.7% or 22.2% female and 9.7% or 20.4% male. Only in one case of high school a statistical significant difference in body weight and BMI among małe was noticed. The results indicate that deficiency of weight in these population of high school adolescents is morę important than obesity.
